Best Forex Day Trading Times to Make Profits

Trading currency across the foreign exchange market has, in previous years, been closed to only large companies and very wealthy individuals.  Because the markets are now opening up to private investors, more and more novices are entering Forex day trading and are finding themselves overwhelmed with the sheer amount of information that is available.  When it comes to analyzing trends and swings in the markets, quite a few beginner traders start making emotional decisions that can end up costing them a lot of money.  Understanding how a Forex day trading system operates, though, is not something that has to cost you your entire life savings to acquire the essential knowledge.  To use Forex day trading systems and make a profit, you need to understand the basic concepts and terminologies surrounding fundamental and technical currency analyses.

Trading Provides Market Liquidity

Trading foreign currencies helps out economies both around the world and in your own country.  A high-volume currency trading market adds the needed liquidity that allows currencies to move to their proper market levels. Because the markets fluctuate during the day, many of traders have adapted to day trading Forex markets to take advantage of rapid currency price fluctuations in order to make large profits using leveraged funds.  In order to make the best trades, you are going to have to constantly monitor and analyze data while paying attention to where decimal points are located.  At the same time, you are going to have to double and even triple check yourself to ensure that you are not making a mistake somewhere.  Quick thinking and decisiveness is required to keep up with the fluctuations in the market, and making small mistakes can mean the difference between being successful at Forex day trading or losing all your funds.

Best Days to Trade – Best Time to Trade

The best Forex day trading days that are best to trade on are usually Tuesdays, although Wednesdays and Thursdays are also great days to trade. These are the days that currencies are most volatile, which benefits traders as prices move sharply.  Mondays are slow days, and most Forex traders will recommend that you do not trade Fridays at all as many of the traders will close their positions early on Friday to avoid paying swap charges over the weekend.  The best times to trade, again when there is the most market volatility, is when two out of the three major currency exchanges are open (New York, London and Tokyo are the major exchanges), which you can discover by doing an online search on Forex hours.

Using U.S. Eastern Standard Times, the Tokyo market is first to open, and the session runs  from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM.   The London exchange opens at 3:00 AM and closes at 12:00 noon.   Therefore, a great time to trade is when both exchanges are open concurrently, which is 3:00 to 4:00 AM CST (although these times change depending on daylight savings time in Europe).  The New York exchange trading hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, so another time to trade with good volatility and volume is when the London and New York exchanges are open at the same time, which is 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon (although a trader should get out before 11 AM CST as trade volume decreases significantly when New York floor traders go to lunch).

Good Sites for Training and Discussions

Day trading Forex currency may be a very lucrative career once you have effectively mastered the subtle nuances that separate the men from the boys, so to speak.  By playing it safe and keeping your emotions out of your trades, you can make much smaller, calculated trades, rather than allowing greed to take over.  There are many sites on the Internet that will provide you day training trading Forex currency pairs.  One site is “BabyPips,” and excellent forums that provide useful comments from real traders are “Forex-TSD” and “ForexPeaceArmy.”

Cell Phone Updates

With the age of the Internet, you no longer have to sit in front of your computer to be a day trader.  You can actually receive a Forex day trading signal sent straight to your cell phone that you can respond to and instantly execute the transaction.  Automated Forex day trading is helping many investors get on with enjoying their lives and still continue to be successful in day trading.  Before you purchase any types of software, though, you are going to want to ensure that you have read reviews of the various Forex day trading systems being offered.  Sign up for Forex day trading training courses online; many of these are free. Also, only trade money that you can lose, use wise money management, and practice on broker “demo accounts” as you learn and perfect your Forex day trading strategy.
